Cloud Shell is an interactive shell environment for Google Cloud that makes it easy for you to learn and experiment with Google Cloud and manage your projects and resources from your web browser.

Cloud Shell is a virtual machine that is loaded with development tools. It offers a persistent 5GB home directory and runs on the Google Cloud. Cloud Shell provides command-line access to your Google Cloud resources.

  • Interact with Cloud Shell.
  • Create a VM using Cloud Shell and gcloud CLI.
  • How to connect to a VM using cloud shell.
  • Explore gCloud commands.


  • You should be familiar with how to start and end labs on QwikSkills platform. Along with that you should know how to login to the GCP Console. 
  • Familiar with GCP Console UI. Opening services through the menu.
  • If this is your first lab then you can learn the above prerequisites from this lab.
  • You should be familiar with Linux terminal and Terminal commands.
